Cooling System Upgrade for Plastic Moulding Machinery

PIPEKIT supported a plumbing and heating contractor with the renewal of a cooling system serving plastic moulding machinery.

The contractor works across domestic and commercial plumbing and heating, but this project had a specific challenge: the new system needed to increase flow rate, reduce flow temperature and maintain equal flow across the machinery's cooling lines.

A PVC Pressure System Built Around the Application

Getting the right cooling performance meant looking at the system as a whole, not simply supplying individual fittings.

PIPEKIT brought together a substantial PVC pressure package for the installation, including more than 150 Effast PVC pressure fittings, over 100 Astore fittings, 25 valves and Tangit PVC Glue All Pressure, alongside the Effast pipework required for the system.

The completed installation performed as required, delivering the flow and cooling performance needed for the machinery.

From Enquiry to Delivery Within a Week

The size of the requirement also meant availability and turnaround were important.

From the customer's initial online order and follow-up enquiry, PIPEKIT brought the wider package together and delivered it within a week.

Throughout the project, the contractor dealt with Liam, giving them a consistent point of contact who understood the requirement and could help with product queries and availability as the order progressed.

Supporting the Wider Requirement

For this project, PIPEKIT supplied more than 250 Effast and Astore fittings, 35 valves, pipework and jointing products as part of one cooling-system requirement.

That ability to bring the wider package together, backed by product knowledge and responsive supply, was important to the contractor.

Following the project, they said they would choose PIPEKIT again for this type
of material ahead of their usual local supplier.
