PIPEKIT Supplies Air2Heat for Air Source Heat Pump Installation

AIR2HEAT LTD SELECTS PIPEKIT TO SUPPLY GEBERIT MAPRESS PIPEWORK FOR NEW HOUSE BUILD PROJECT

Air2Heat Ltd, a Shropshire based provider of sustainable heating solutions, has teamed up with Pipekit to supply a range of pipework to install a new Air Source Heat Pump at a self-build house project near Oswestry.  Air2Heat Ltd selected Pipekit due to its reliability as a local supplier and proven track record in excellent customer service.

The specification of the new four-bedroom property set out to achieve a low u-value, energy efficient home, and having a renewable energy source at the heart was key.  Located in a rural setting, which is not on the national gas grid, the private owners contracted Air2Heat Ltd to offer an alternative to an oil-based heating system and install an Air Source Heat Pump to: reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, offer a significantly lower carbon footprint, and improve the efficiency of the heating system.

During the first and second fix for the new Air Source Heat Pump, Air2Heat Ltd selected a range of Geberit Mapress Copper fittings and Albion valves from Pipekit due to both brands’ product reliability and proven track records.  Pipekit was selected as the supplier due to its range of leading brands under one roof and superior technical expertise and customer service. Commenting on the project, Air2Heat Ltd.’s Paul Thorney, business owner and heat pump specialist, said: “It’s always great to use local suppliers, as it offers us a great level of flexibility, but Pipekit also offers us peace of mind that we are dealing with a reliable, experienced supplier”.  He continues: “The work ethic from all staff members is consistently to a high standard, they’re invariably on hand to offer product guidance and technical support and ensure fulfilment is guaranteed.  We always receive a great service from Pipekit”.

A range of Geberit Mapress Copper fittings from elbows, tees and coupling were selected for the installation.  Developed with a press fitting system, Geberit Mapress offered Air2Heat Ltd a preferred option to soldiering or carrying out hot works, reducing installation times and offering a cleaner job, with no flux from soldiering.

Summing up the partnership, Mitch Lloyd, Pipekit Central Sales Advisor said: “It’s great to be able to supply products to our customers and see that we’re part of making a difference”.  He continues: “Working alongside businesses such as Air2Heat Ltd, who strive to meet sustainable practices and deliver efficient heating systems as part of a cleaner and greener future, is a good journey to be on and we hope we can continue the partnership going forward”.
